Petzl Ultra?

Where is the big review of the petzl ultra? I figured a $360 headlamp with 6 high output leds claiming a 340 lumen output would have some huge review thread but all I can find is the one vrs the silva with one beamshot. Anybody have any beamshots or thoughts about this please share. Beside that small fact wich is that it costs 360 bucks ya ya I know.:twothumbs

Like I said in the post, I've seen that one. I don't count that as a review. it has like 2 photos and all it is is a promo for the alpha wich only has 3 leds.:laughing:

someone out there must have bought a $360 Petzl Ultra. Could it be that they are afraid to open up such an expensive headlamp, photograph it, and post pictures?
Understandable if its glued shut and needs to be cracked open, ruining
the waterproof seal.

I have opened Ultra photos... Nothing special, 6 emitters on mcpcb that is connected with the heatsink by some cheap thermal-tape.

I suspect that if someone is going to drop 300+ on a headlamp, they're either going to buy something tougher (like a Stenlight), or one of the many (non-Petzl) European headlamps that have a lot higher output.

What would you suggest around$350 in headlamp/headstrap form that I can get in the us? I thought I've seen them all but who knows. Non stienlight.
