Hello,
i've got a gladius ( 2 cr123) and i want to use rechargeables but not rcr123
what is the best ? pila 168s, 17670 or 18650 ( protected of course)
Thank you

ps, what is the difference between these batteries ?

Tk again

I use an old PILA 168s in my Gladius but had to take the outer wrapper off to get it to fit, still pretty tight and it needs a good wack on the palm to get it out.

AW's protected 17670' do not fit and a 18650 certainley will not without a major rebore.

I've heard of people using 2 x 3v R123A's in them but have never tried it mylsef.

Pila 168S here too. Tight squeeze, but can removed without much grief.

By the way, these batteries will cause the Gladius to blink every 15 seconds or so because the lower voltage makes the Gladius think the batteries are low.

cheers

Pila no longer makes the 168S; they replaced it with the 600S, a cell of a different design and more capacity.

The similar Wolf Eyes 168B has been upgraded to the 169B (same design as before, more capacity).

An LED light doesn't need such premium-priced cells. Even an LG-class protected 17670 would do. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that AW's newest protected 17670 cell has an easily removed wrapper to allow the cell to fit a narrower tube.

Hmmmm, the 17670's I bought last year from AW fit in my Gladius just fine..sure it's tight but a shake or two and the batterly slides right out.
