I bought a Pila G3L about 5 years ago and used it for a while as my duty light at work. During this time it was dropped onto a concrete floor from about 4 or 5 feet, went out but back on again when switched. I checked the LA and a big chunk of the reflector fell out :D
Still worked though. It was retired from duty service and been used ever since as my main bike light (lots of use as I cycle to work 11 shifts out of 13) and was dropped again, again loosing some reflector but again still working.
It finally died a week or so ago when a final drop onto carpet failed to see it start working again.
It is now back in action with a spare LA I found.
