Are Pila's rechargeables a good replacement to use instead of the CR123 one use only?

I'll let you know after I get mine.
I'll be ordering in about 2 weeks.

You should use the 3.7v lamp assembly to get full specs from the battery.

pila/Copia says about 2% per month discharge rate. It beats the surefire B90 80% per week /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/twak.gif. I'll be using mine in a G2 until my G2Z arrives.

I think the Pila LRB 168S battery is $25.00 without charger. You have to use the 3.7v lamp assembly in order to get full run time and a good clean white light. On the upside is they say it's 80 lumens versus the 65 lumens of the P60 run time is supposed to be 40 minutes. My experience with Pila/Wolf Eyes is that the light runs for the rated time without getting sinificantly yello then just cuts out. no dimming to indicate a low battery.

The self-discharge on the Li-ion battery is lower compared to the nickel- based systems. The Li-ion self-discharges about five percent in the first 24 hours and one to two percent thereafter. Adding the protection circuit increases the self-discharge to ten percent per month.

The abrupt cut-out at the end is probably the work of a discharge protection circuit. This is necessary because discharging a Li-Ion beyond a certain point will turn the cell into an expensive paperweight.

madecov,

can you tell us how much Pila charges for shipping? Wargamers price before the increase amounts to 25% the cost of the batteries. Ouch. I got the 9P replacement and a 168b for my "homemade" Arc LS3 and I've been very happy with the performance so far.

Right now since PILA seems to be out of stock I don't know.
Shipping should also be dependant on the size and weight of the order and of course the way is is shipped.

wargamer gives several options, some with no tracking ability and the possibility of several transit weeks.

Wargamer charged me $26.00 on a total order of about $260.00 or right at 10% but, some of the items I ordered where very light /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif weight.
