Please, suggest a 5v and 12V battery pack

My current problem is not connected to flashlights, but still I would like to ask for your help about battery packs.
After searching I almost decided to buy this one http://www.ebay.com/itm/360507624892. But then searched for some reviews and they didn't seem very good for this pricey (at least for me) battery pack.
I'm planning to use it mainly for a car GPS unit in an out-of-the-car conditions, but there might emerge some other uses for it in time.
So my question is- can somebody suggest me a better alternative to this one in a price range for less than USD30 shipped?

There are plenty portable charger packs, considering the 3 outputs this is a good price.

Personally I would rather get a DIY pack where you can add your own batteries,

Go to Amazon.com and search for the following "RAVPower® Dynamo-On-the-Go RP-PB07 10400mAh External Backup Battery Pack Charger", currently $38 delivered in the US. Great little device.

You can find good quality Chinese products and you can also find a lot of poor quality products. The problem is you don't know until you actually get the product. Even if somebody gets a good quality product and reviews it you may not get the same exact thing as they did. That's the problem with Chinese products is you can't even count on other people's reviews because sometimes they will switch what is inside.

As far as what I recommend from Amazon it is something that I am familiar with and know it is a good product. I try not to give recommendations unless I am familiar with the product and have had access and hands-on with it.

But, what I'm concerned about, is that it has no reviews yet and that it has two different USB outputs.
Could someone, please, tell me the difference between them and if they will fit my needs for a GPS?

I don’t have hands-on experience with this particular product. Having said that here are my two cents.

• It utilizes good-quality batteries. The capacity may not be the highest out there but they are good quality cells.
• The two different output USBs should not really concern you. One is rated at 1A (utilized for basic things such as phones GPS) the other one is rated at 2.1A (utilize for larger devices that draw more current such as iPads). Just remember as long as your devices charging requirements are below a specific port you are good to go. So for example if your GPS charges with 500 mAh you can plug it into either of the ports. If your tablet chargers with 1500 mAh then you can only plug it into one of the ports which is the 2.1 A.

Now I've entered the waiting-and-hoping phase, because I ordered this one https://www.fasttech.com/products/1340305. Decided, that those LEDs could sometimes get useful, especially if they come with only a couple of $ increase in price. Found reviews about this pack without batteries https://www.fasttech.com/products/0...18650-batteries-dual-usb-ports-led-desk-light.
One more thing that annoys me, is the micro USB charging socket, not the mini USB, that I thought it would have. So there will be some problems to overcome, when it gets to charging.

Thank you for assistance in choosing (hopefully) the right thing.

P.S. As usual the purchase was made almost twice the price as it was meant from beginning :)

One more thing that annoys me, is the micro USB charging socket, not the mini USB, that I thought it would have. So there will be some problems to overcome, when it gets to charging.

I prefer micro usb, because it is the same as mobil phones. Micro usb is also more robust than mini usb.

I have a pack similar (or the same) to Ruinovo, but purchased in KD. Works fine and charge cellphone, Soshine SC-S7 and ML-102 battery chargers, iPad2 and all the devices that use USB. I use with Panasonic 18650, 3100 mAh batteries. The led light is very good and illuminates a lot, ideal for emergencies or outdoors.

I am waiting for a similar battery pack 4x18650 of KD, but in addition to USB has output voltage adjustable from 5-12V. The curious thing is that I had purchased on ebay a couple of modules and battery holders to do the same :mecry:
