I'm sick of being HID-less since my POB died last year so I decided that I am going to order a 55W HID kit from VVME and get my POB back up and running but the SLA battery that it had is now dead so I will need a new battery of some sort but I am not sure what to do.

What I thought about doing getting 8 LiFePO4 26650 3200mAh cells and PCB's from batteryspace and making two 12.8V packs but I'm not sure how much more run time I would get and I'm not sure I wanna blow $130 for the packs and a charger when I can get a 9ah SLA localy for $15.

What other options are out there for kinda on the cheap side.??

Thanks,
Mike.

Well, your new capacity with 8 of those cells wired 4s2p would be 6400mAh or 6.4Ah. For improved runtime you'd want to use 12 cells in 4s3p which would give you 9600mAh.

Alternatively, you could go with a single 10Ah li-po which will run close to the same price as 12 of the other cells.
