Hi, I just bought a X1-40w and it did not come with a case. What are the dimensions of your Polairion case? Thought a Pelican case would work just as well and save $ over a Polarion one. BTW I really love the light. Thanks, John

I think you are much better off with a Pelican case myself...

A Polarion case is 15" x 12" x 7"

A Pelican 1450 is a close match.

Instead of a hard case, consider a soft camera lens case. I use a LowePro Lens Case #5 for my PH40. It is designed to protect high-$$ SLR lenses, and a PH40 is a lot tougher than that. It is cylindrical, and takes up much less space than a Peli or the oem case.

DM51 has a great idea with using the lens case for the PH40. I just finished "plucking" a pelican case for my Polarion CSWL and can see that the Polarion case for the PH40 is going to be heavy for everyday toting around. I am going to try the lens case and see how that works. Thanks.
