Just curious so i can get an idea if i spend alot or not for flashlights although i know most people here spend more than i do, but thats because right now i am low in the $$$ department!

interesting question.. made me actually think hard what i actually have and what i have paid for them.

now that this made me think about them i need to make a proper list of them.

but my vote had to go under 50. this is including all (all those i remember at the moment) complete flashlights i have bought. (excluding the 30 fauxtons)

the ones i use most, are at 50 or above.. but the rest are at 20-40 range.

oh and i included shipping costs too.

There is no average just the same as there is no average light :poke:

Hmmmmmmm......ok :touche: lets see how the poll turns out
What I meant Scotty was I might spend .50c on a fauxton or I might spend $200 on an SS RAW, I just don't get what we can learn by averaging those figures.

ok well, do you buy more expensive lights or more inexpensive lights? the question is to determine if people are spending alot of money on flashlights or not...i have a couple of lights for under $100 and a few more for over $100 so i voted for the $101 to $200 range because more lights i own fit in that category...

Only very recently have I been bitten by this bug to spend over $100 on a flashlight. Given all the cheapies I buy for my family, it's going to take me a long time to bring up my average. :D

As a relative new boy I've been playing catch up a bit and have spent more recently than I maybe would have liked. Given that my initial spending spree is hopefully over I'd like to curb my monthly spending at no more than $100 or so a month.

I guess we'll see how (if) that pans out...

I would probably be buying Surefire lights if the economy was not being destroyed, but I won't get into that here.

Having 5 surefires could skew the results if it weren't for buying coin lights by the 100 count over at county comm. I still figure it in the 51 to 100 range mostly due to the last two have been fenix and under 100. Arcs bump the range a wee bit.

I think this poll is crazy.

On average I spend less than $5. On average I have several generic 9 x 5mm led flashlights that were free with an order of a $2 pair of socks (I am not kidding). I have a couple Gerbers that were about $15 each, I have a bike light that is over 600lm that cost under $50 given parts I had, and enough flashlights my only reason to buy one is when LEDs again rise in efficiency, ALL of them under the minimum price tag.

This topic is silly. Get back to reality please. The only people who spend anywhere near the top 1/2 of the categories listed are the ones who don't know much about flashlights and pay someone else because they can't do it themselves.

Good grief, for less than $200 I could make most airplanes jealous.

So collectors (including myself) or enthusiast (also myself) of high quality lights are not with reality and don't know anything about flashlights?

Call me crazy, but aren't we flashaholics??

Just wondering if you can throw one of these together for me? I have about $25 spare?

Out of all the flashlights that I own I have never paid more than $40 for the light itself, dropins, or any other accessory for it. Most are less than $30. I'm just not a big spender on flashlights I guess. I'm more into battery type (AA's) and long runtimes (> 2 hours) than really bright lights. I use my flashlights mostly for use in my apartment, inside my car, etc. I never buy anything online, so my choices are what I can find that I like at the B&M stores. :candle:

My 2 most expensive lights were the L2T V2 and P100A2 both under 45, my AA Neu-Tac Quark was my first light to break the 50 dollar point at 52 dollars.
