Whats your occupation / interest in flashlights?

I'd suggest adding "OTHER First Responder/Public Service" to the poll as well...

I'm thinking Red Cross, Amateur Radio ARES/RACES, etc.

This poll just seems too limited. I don't fit into any of the categories. How about a category: "I'm the one you come find when all the lights go out"?

I'm retired/disabled and have very little "official" use for all my lights. I'm just a dyed-in-the-wool gadget freak and like many small high quality precision tools (lights/pocket multi-tools/knives/pocket watches/and many more). If nothing else happens I'll create a need for some of them. - Larry

You also omitted the Tank Searchlight community. :nana:

Larry

LOL Larry!

ALSO ag94whoop you missed the " I work in a totally artificial environment with multiply redundant power backup systems and NEVER need a flashlight at work I just like the technology" group".

How about its in my gene that i like flashy things or i am crazy that i like flashlight so much without reasons.:sssh:

SAR... I don't see that option.
Even though it is not technically a profession since one doesn't get paid for it. I guess it could qualify as outdoor/ backpacker, or first responder/ paramedic

I can't really vote either.

For my job: Well I carry a couple lights because its a large dark building with few windows. And hey its getting on toward the winter solstice too. Even with windows after 6 or 7pm and our cloudy skies we get no light in the building. Should the power go out this year and the backup lights fail to come on this year, I'll be ready to help a few hundred people evacuate just like what happened the past couple years.

Hello,

I'm just and "edc-enthusiast". Someone who likes to carry nice - but useful - "gadgets" on him. Aside from flashlights, I also put great importance on what pens to carry, as well as swiss army knives, lighter, watch, etc.
This edc-stuff, useful as it is, also serves as adult toys. To keep you busy and happy at otherwise boring moments.

Because I live in Belgium, I am not allowed to actually carry any of my handguns, otherwise I would also carry some of my favorite handguns.

Kind regards,
Joris

Former LEO and now in Security, I use them nightly at work.

The really big boy toys come out on camping/lake/power outage/when I workout at three in the morning at a local school and so on.
