Was reading thread on new Energizer Fusion pop up lantern


Came across this thing that's suppose to be made in Japan. Some places have it for $24 to $35. Got it for $8.50 from an Amazon seller.


3 Function Pop-Up Lantern:

It's probably poo poo but couldn't help try it out since it uses 4 x AA.

Anyone ever seen or used one?

cute but I bet the output is rather disappointing using 5mm LEDs.

Yep it's cute. The 8 emitter type give off nice flood. The 3 5mm give off decent spot. When you pop open lantern you have 3 5 mm on inside and weak light that's not scattered very well. A little back lantern when power goes off or tent duty.

If I was given a lantern like that I would probably try to mod it with a cree. lol
