For corded type I like Sony. Any model. They all sound good. Plus they come with tips that fit my ears for a proper seal, which causes them to sound a million billion times better.

I could never learn to like in-ears. I find them unhygienic & uncomfortable. Besides I think its untactful to listen to music in public. I cannot help but to think less of someone who does. If I want to listen to music I do it in private at home with my HD600s.

I use the older Etymotic ER4S with a HeadAmp Pico Power portable amplifier. It is clearly superior to the newer ER4SR.

That is understandable. If you get a chance check out the Koss KSC75 ear clips. Most people are in total disbelief once they hear them. Be careful to not pull the cord from the housing.

i have them koss clips to my first koss headphones was in the 80s at radio shack im thinking it used the same drivers and the clips
