Hi There,

Unknowingly I broke the battery case on my princeton tec apex. Sadly, saltwater has got in there and partly corroded the terminals. As a result the light stays on all the time and I cant turn it off.

If I clean the battery terminals will it work again ? Failing that is it possible to get a new battery case for the headlight?

It sounds to me like the problem is in the head of the light, not just the battery case.

I would call Princeton Tec (as in actually call, not e-mail). Their warranty dep't should take care of you.

There's only one way to find out...

I cracked my Apex while modding it, and they replaced it. Of course I didn't make a big deal about HOW the body got cracked... I just told them that body had cracked.

Just tell them the case broke and water got in. If it is an accident and you didn't smash it with a hammer they should offer to fix it.
I had a case break on a PT Attitude and they sent me a new case.

Everyone I've heard of who has sent a light back to PT has received a replacement. Good customer service offsets the fact that their lights are not as waterproof as claimed. . .
