Hi
I bought Diving Cree SSC-P7-C-SXO 3-Mode 900-Lumen LED Flashlight Kit (2*18650/4*CR123A/4*16340)

Works fine until flooded, probably my fine, do not twist properly or shitty o-rings.

Now when I want to turn on, there is only single flash.
Is there any simple solution (replace part) to fix it?
I was trying to find replace for bulb/emitter but have no idea
thanks for help

I had bought what I believe is the same light as you . After googling "magicshine" on the dive forums I found that some people had it flood and some didn't . Some figured that the spring under the reflector is a bit to big so they cut off a loop of spring. I myself bought it and took it apart and cut off about 3/4 of a loop. I've had it down to 50 ft so far with no issues.

The fix for the initial problem is generally as described above (cut the spring). Since yours has flooded (presumably in salt water) you need to first deal with that.

The best solution is to immediately take it apart and soak it in warm water. It sounds like you haven't done that and maybe it's been a while since the flood.

That's still the solution but getting rid of the salt crystals may be a bit more difficult. If the reflector has been effected that's a problem as well as there isn't anyway to correct a damaged reflector.

After soaking everything you need to scrub, with alcohol and a cotton swab or rag, the circuit board. Try to just clean the bottom of the circuit board which is the only part you see without desoldering it. Look for the brown or black crud that shouldn't be there. This is what is shorting out the electrical path.

After you've done all you can with the alcohol use a pencil eraser to scrub any discoloration left on the circuit board.

If you are lucky everything will now work.

Mine flooded. I did the spring modification and soaked the light and cleaned the circuit board and it works as good as new.

It's got quite a few dives on it since the flood and has been down to around 130 fsw.

Good luck.

The single flash you get is probably the batteries that are dead. Does it also happen with new batteries? if so, the salt probably created a short circuit somewhere so clean the salt.
Anyway, these chinese o-rings are crap, replace them if possible.

baywatch106 I found the article you wrote about, thanks

It flooded at salt water. When I get off the boat, rinse all with fresh water. After 12 hours when back home I put everything to bowl of fresh water (cold), and left for 3 days.

Now when I twist everything properly, when twist to start is a single blink, sometimes able to turn on for a 30 second continuous lighting or blinking.
Also I think that one of batteries is wrong (different light then in charger), before buy a new batteries want to know is it worth to do that.

Like You said guys I will put into hot water for couple hours and later into 98% alcohol for couple hours, and try to charge batteries (hope will work for checking with one wrong/dead battery). Maybe later I will cut the spring and find new o-rings.

You just need to make sure that you take it totally apart for the warm water soak. It doesn't need to soak in alcohol for several hours. You need to scrub the circuit board with the alcohol. After all that you make want to soak everything in alcohol for a minute just to force all of the water out but that's about it.

Make sure you have two good batteries when testing it.

I just purchased this light. Is it still suggested that I mod the spring before I use this light underwater?

Not sure if i am aloud to say this but there is everything you could ever possibly wish to know about this light on the yorkshire divers forum. Including step by step mods and flood recovery.
