Propane spotlight

Hello, I have what appears to be a propane spotlight that uses a mantle.
Can anyone help me identify it, what it is exactly, how it's used, what it's intended area of usage is and what it is worth. additionally I would like to sell it.

It's because he tried to use an attachment from his computer, which you can't do without a special membership.
It does sound interesting though.
