A friend of mine wants to get his watch Bezel PVD-ed (probably Bead-blasted AlTiN or diamond). I'm assuming Stainless steel can take Ti or Diamond coats?

I understand Modamag is no longer organising any exotic coating services. Anyone else have a contact or is organising a similar service?
Also, is the PVD process used in flashlights similar to the process used for watches? I'm asking cause the prices in Modamag's GB are much more reasonable than some quotes we've got for the watch (either because its en masse or because watch PVD-ing is more costly?)
Any information or thoughts are appreciated. Thanks!
