is the max mode - "Max: 109 lumens for 1.2 hours (350ma)" on 4sevens website - the SOS mode?

No SOS is a separate function. I am noy sure if the Quark AA has SOS. I think it is Moonlight / Low / Medium / High / Max / Strobe / Beacon

I would guess that SOS would last longer then 1.2 hours

They have no times for SOS on the site

But, if Max lasts 1.2 I would guess SOS would be definitely longer

I just got the AA2 and love it

I had to double check this, because I've encountered brief difficulties when programming my quark. because difference between high and max is small, I thought it was skipping max, or or it was getting stuck on high. here's what I found confusing:

1.

the website says:

Moonlight » Low » Medium » High » Max » SOS » Strobe » Beacon

2.

the manual says:

Moonlight » Low » Medium » High » MaxSOS » Strobe » Beacon

3.

and when listing runtimes, the manual omits SOS all together.

anyway, I conclude that the manual reference is a typo, it should be two separate modes and in the runtime listings maybe they left it out on purpose. re-programming took couple of attempts on my side, but got it right at the end! :stupid:

The sos mode is a mode where the flashlight turns on and off in max brightness signaling SOS SOS SOS SOS etc....in morse code.

Bezel loose: moon, low, med, high, sos, beacon
Bezel tight: max, strobe
