In my last ditch effort to convince myself to get a P20C2 MKII R5 I still have yet to see any kinda beam shot comparison between the two, I have found XP-E R2 (both lights) comparisons.

I'd like to see the difference in spill between the two, does the MKII have just as usable of a spill as the wonderful Quark?

The spill on the MKII is not as wide as the Quark XP-G(most light's ain't) but the spill is brighter on the P20 with no visible dim areas. It also throws a lot better.m Sorry I have no pics.

I was quite shocked by the coverage of spot and spill from my new MKII P20C2 with OP reflector. It's far better than I expected from a small headed torch with xp-g r5. It doesn't reach out as far as my R5 Quark Turbo but at a reasonable distance it lights up huge areas of my paddock with no dark rings and a really nice transition from ther very bright spot to the very bright spill. A real winner that slips right into my pocket.

Yes I forgot to ask the OP if he was referring to the regular Quark XP-G like the 123x2 or the Turbo XP-G, as I was referring to the Quark XP-G 123x2.

Quark R5 123-2 Regular is what I have now. But the UI is a pain in the butt so I'm looking to upgrade either to what I have now in Tactical or the P20 MKII

I really like my Tactical Quarks they are among my favorites lights but the P20 MKII to me is just a special light. I have it with the smooth reflector and beam is still very nice so I dont see a reason why I would ever want a textured reflector.

My P20 MKII out throws my 123x2 XP-G Quark by a very good margin and has brighter spill also. The Quark does have a much wider spill but this isn't as important to me. I like the UI on the MKll, the head moves easily and smooth so twisting to low mode is done fairly easy.

Everyone is different but I would be surprised if you don't really like it so give one a shot, I still say WOW every time I turn it on in high.

I also found that the thread machining was much more "precision" than on many of my other torches and thus even with the head only unscrewed a fraction it can't be induced to change modes by wiggling it like other torches can which means that the twist/untwist action to change to low need only be a very small movement. It's just a fantastic torch.
