Question about micro puck

Should the neg. out be kept seperate from the neg of the flashlight body? What about the slug of the LS and the flashlight body?

On model (2009A) the answer is no, the LED's negative can be returned to
the battery negative. The green wire and the black wire are the same
connection internally. We will soon have more versions of the micropuck
available where that may not be the case.
