hello.
im looking to build a 5 cell 18650 pack
but have a question about PCB's
The PCB's for an 18.5v pack are kinda of large. 100+mm x 40mm
is it possible to use a small PCB for each cell such as the 8-14.5mm round ones like these
http://www.batteryspace.com/pcbfor37vli-ion1865018500cellbattery3a-1alimit.aspx
http://www.all-battery.com/protecti...ndfor37vli-polymerbattery35alimit-pcb1sr.aspx

also im considering doing a 10 cell pack to double the mAh but am worried about PCB / balancing problems with each set of cells being paralleled
should i just think of each pair of cells as one and not worry about it.

I plan to use LG Chem 2600mAh 18650 Cells.
with a basic charger like this one. http://www.all-battery.com/TenergyBatteryCharger01218.aspx

thanks for the help.

just found this on another site talking about cells with built in pcb's
so it looks like this idea will not work. and I will have to go with a larger 18.5v pcb.

"These fully protected cells simplify usage with their integrated PCB. Perfect for your single cell application these cells are not for pack building as doing so will defeat the PCB protection which is matched to the correct voltage on a single cell. If you are building a pack please choose one of our other cells and the appropriate PCB."
