I am about to purchase a SureFire M6. I am looking for any suggestions on the light, bulbs, and batteries - I have read some of the reviews - and I am very interested in getting rechargeable batteries. It looks like the best options require a new holder - however I am not able to figure out where to purchase, also If I go with RCR123s it looks like they top out at 2.5A when it looks like this light can draw 5amp. I guess I would like some suggestions on where to start with this light and the best places to purchase some options.

Congrats on your decision to purchase the best flashlight currently in production. You won't regret it.
 
If you can't find a different battery holder the stock holder will work with 6 x RCR123's (AW brand) which will work with the HO-M6R bulb from Lumens Factory. This is by far on of the easiest and most useful M6 mods and a favorite among CPFers. If you need something a little brighter with less run-time you can always quickly switch back to primary batteries and drop in the stock MN21.

Thanks for all of the info! I am new to the forum so the link above was very helpful! I have purchased the light off of ebay and should have it any day now. I think I am going with the lumens factory option - I can't wait until I get it!

Also - I just saw the Jet Beam JET-III M - it looks like a great every day flash light - and a deal at $90 - any input on this light will be appreciated - I have found 1 review, but the beam shots were not all that useful - and I am wondering about real world reliability.

Welcome to CPF!

From what I've seen, Jetbeams are good lights. Don't own one personally but those I've seen are extremely well made - don't hesitate.

The M6 is not the brightest or smallest light but has a certain addictive appeal about its looks and feel in the hand. It's very versatile and it's one of my favourite lights ;)

The latest generation of JetBeam's is excellent. I own two of them and I'm more impressed with them than any other EDC light brand from Asia. The machining is second to none with regards to production lights. I'll stop now since the LED topic is for another forum. :)
