You should probably just find a single LED to replace the existing one with.

If you must go to a triple, number one might work, but it will only be marginally brighter than a top-end single LED unless you also change the driver. This is because the LED's will most likely have to be run in parallel, and will then be pushed at a lower current per LED.

Depending on the optics, you may also have issues with the changed beam profile of the triple optics.

Hi Cowboy !

In fact, I want to create a ''portable beast'', that's why I want to go with a triple. I don't want to change the driver, I will just do another heatsink, probably in copper. The optic will sure change the beam but from previous experience, I know it can work quite well.

From what I understand, correct me if I'm wrong, I have two choices:

1) the brightness will be divided by 3 but the runtime will be almost unchanged

2) The brightness will be at the maximum but the runtime will be shortened by 3

Since I'm looking for the second choice, again, which one of the 2 module would be the best choice ?

That's only if the driver can handle 3 times the normal voltage output or current output. Most likely it cannot output at 3x the voltage, since it's designed for a single LED, and the current output is set on most drivers, so there's no changing that either. If you want to use the 3 LED setup at a much higher output, you'll need to replace the driver as well in most cases.
