Quick comparison (Outdoor shots and Bounce test)

Here´s a quick comparison that I made as soon I receive my custom mag this week.

The host is a Dual Bored 1´25 MAG by Fivemega and the mod was nicelly done by Nailbender, using a SST-90 led sitting in a Britelumens heatsing with a D2Flex dimming board. I´m in love with my first "custom" flashlight.

First, some pics of the beauty with the DX Aspherical Lens installed.

Now, for comparison in the BOUNCE TEST I use a Fenix TK40, a Thrunite Catapult, a Solarforce L1200 and the Custom Mag with original lens and reflector:

For these pics I use the same camera configuration:
Camera: Canon Rebel T1i (500D) manual mode
Exposure Time: 0,5s
Aperture: F/3.5
Focal Lenght: 18mm
ISO: 100
EV: 0
White Balance: Auto

Now it´s time for some medium distance shots.

The wall in the pictures is about 60m (~196ft if I´m not wrong...)

This time I used a Fenix TK40, Thrunite Catapult, Solarforce L1200, Custom Mag without and with aspherical lens and the POB HID.

For these pics I use the same camera configuration:
Camera: Canon Rebel T1i (500D) manual mode
Exposure Time: 0,8s
Aperture: F/3.5
Focal Lenght: 18mm
ISO: 400
EV: 0
White Balance: Auto

Great job with the pics.

@ the ceiling bounce pics... thats some serious output for an aspheric.

Gorgeous incan tint + CRI on that solar-1200 beast.

Just for kicks I'd love to see a ceiling bounce of the POB... should be a serious butt-kicking.

In the ceiling bounce pics, the MAG was not with the Aspheric lens...

That L1200 is actually very impressive. I wish I had one...

I really like that SST-90 + DX aspheric combo, gives great throw with a big hotspot. Great for spotting things at a distance, no need to sweep around like with a Q5+aspheric. Yea, gotta get me one of those as well

I think it´s relative... It´s an expensive light, much more expensive of any other one in the comparsion, but IMO worth every single peny.
It´s a light that was modified to suit my needs, so for me it´s perfect.
Price / performance ratio 10 /10
