I've just received my new headband, this is the jackstrap headband (funny name) that I got from campmor for a pretty good price. It cost me 15$ US for the headband and shipping to canada
Well, first: I'm using it with an A2 aviator. I was not sure it would fit in it. The A2 fits, but pretty tightly in the locations. You have 3 choices of orientation: straight, pointed down and semi straight (where you use the straight and pointed down locations at the same time).
Getting the A2 into the small elastics will take one or 2 minutes since it's pretty tight. You will get a good grip in the headband for the flashlight though. I like the ''pointed down'' position, since it lights up close objects directly in the line of sight, like for working on a car.
I feel pretty comfortable with the headband on even with the weight of the A2 on it, and it's easy to adjust the headband tight enough so it feel secured.
Pros:
-simple
-not expensive
-''pointed down'' angle pretty effective
cons:
-A2 is tight, but you get used to it.
