hello.. i have an ac to dc apapter which is variable 110-240 on the ac side, 18v output on the dc side. the wiring on the ac side is three separately insulated black wires bonded together (thus a flat and wide rather than round). when i snip the wire on the ac side the outside two wires are bare copper inside (one with indented print on the insulation) and there is a green wire (meaning with an extra layer of insulation that is green) in between. how do i hardware the ac side directly into my house 120 house power (standard black, white, bare wiring)?
