I'm headed down to Radio Shack to get some bulbs for my 2C Mag Mod with 3X123's what bulbs should I get? I remember someone saying I should try the 5 D cell mag bulb, I was running the 6 cell bulb but blew it. What would the Voltage rating be if they are not listed by numbers of cells.

Thanks to all, Metro

Sorry, quick response is not easily come by, on Labor Day holiday weekend.

Best Bulb for 3x123 Modded MAG-2C Keep in mind that with a bulb like the Carely 1499, your 3 123's maybe driving this bulb at more than 13w output, which could result in the stock Mag plastic reflector melting.

See Ginseng's post #641946 in this thread

please help on mag bulbs

I think the 5 cell RS krypton bulbs are KPR112's (or 113's). I don't think I've burned out an overdriven krypton bulb in my 2C mag conversion yet and I've run a couple sets of 123 lithium cells through it.

I used 5 cell bulbs to good results.

I remember reading that bulbs flash could be due to low resistance. I had a washer at the butt of the last cell, that probably add some resistance?

Pr 20 is what you want in the tailcap for when you blow your regular 5, or 6 cell bulb.
Pr20 is 8.4 volt rated at 500 milliamps. (usually anyways)
Good luck.
Otherwise, if you have a wad of cash burning a hole in your pocket,
get an www.Inretech.com helios for that. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/evilgrin07.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/aaa.gif
Cheaper still would be an Everled from www.brightguy.com or www.ledsupply.com
An everled will definitely get you your money's worth out of your precious cr123's. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif
