OK, I need a voltage question answered. Probably been answered before but it's too vague (or is it too specific?) to do a search.

I've got a camera strobe that uses 123s. I want to pick up a couple rechargeables for this task and charge them in my DSD. The strobe however, from reading I've done, has a 3v limit, above which it shuts down. To my limited knowledge, all the RCRs will charge above this limit. Are there any that won't, does protected/non-protected have any bearing on this?

I believe your manual is referring to voltage under load, and not resting voltage. If this is the case, take a look at this package. I'm not sure if you can charge 3.0V RCR123A cells in the DSD charger.

I've been using these cells now for about 4 months and they work great in my lights.

Protected cells have a PCB on the negative terminal that prevent over charge/discharge and current draw. The cells in the link are protected cells.
