non flashlite related,
hey guys I recently bought a JVC Kaboom boom box, for portable use on my boat in the yard when camping etc...and I would like to pick up some rechargable batteries for it, it uses 10Ds, I was looking at the energizer NIMH recharbale batteries, I have many energizer rechargable AAs, and they have faired me well, but when I see that they are rated at only 2500mah, that doesn't make alot of sence to me when the AAs are rated at 2500mah as well, am I missing something here or would that not mean that one of there AAs would last the same ammount of time as one of there D sizes at a given current draw, here is a link to there website to take a quick peek

Hello Jaymasta,

Welcome to CPF.

I believe Energizer stuffs an AA in a D sized shell...

You can do the same thing by finding some AA to D adapters. If you already have some AA cells, this is probably the best way to go.

If you want to go with D cells, they are in the 10,000 - 12,000 mAh range now.

you can get descent Dsized rechargables online easier than in these stores, also in the phone book you might have a local "battery pack maker" and they can get really good cells.
a boom box sucks cells up so fast its a $$$$ good thing to find a rechargable for em. any psudo D cell using a adaption to a AA sized rechargable wont be adequite if you are of the type that "cranks it up"
