rechargable CR123A lose charge over time?

Yes. Used to be that Rechargeable Li-ions (like RCR123s) would lose most of their capacity in about 3 years from the time of manufacture whether they were used or not. That may have improved to 4 or more years by now, but I believe it is still the case on some schedule (or some maximum number of discharge cycles, whichever comes first).

Do rechargable CR123A's lose charge over time if not used?

:grin2: No. In day to day usage they do not . They hold their charge quite well.
They might loose 1% of charge every couple of months ...... whereas NiMh rechargeables(if that's what you're used to).... loose 1% of charge every couple of DAYS.

:D ..... TooManyGizmos
