I've been using Ray-O-Vac rechargeable alkalines for some of my flashlights with some success. I know you are suppose to use the special charger, but what are your thoughts on using a small solar panel to trickle charge them? They work well as long as I don't let them go down too much. I use them for lights that are seldom used as they keep the charge like normal alkalines. (glove compartment,etc..)Are the other brand of alkaline rechargeables any better? (I think Accucell is the name - can't remember)
