Need much more info the answer, what light? what batteries? and better grammar wouldn't hurt

Jason,
The flashlight I have been using on a midnight shift is a Streamlight 3X-CP which uses three 'C' type batteries.

rechargable NIMH cells are great for flashlights like that. expect much better long-term output. alkalines in that light probably dim significantly within 30 minutes, a set of 5000mAh NIMH cells would deliver nearly steady output for about 5-7 hours.

Thank you for the info. I'm going buy the high capacity 'C' batteries at the mAh you mentioned. Have a nice day.:)
