RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES IN A SUREFIRE ????

I have two surefire torches, and one is a Kroma...Surefire state not to use rechargeable batteries in their torches,,,is this just so you buy their batteries?????

I have rechargeables in my torches but I dont know if I should, but it is so expensive to run without them,,,

Can anyone tell me if they are okay please..
