Great choice of light. Enjoy it.

I use Ultralast 3V R123As I bought from Fry's Electronics. Tho there are a variety of 3-3.2V R123As with varying chemistries (as shown by their chargers being incompatible with one another), they all fall into 2 main categories:
- 3.2V nominal, 4.2-4.4V HOC, internally a 3.6/3.7V cell with an internal circuit to lower voltage to 3.2V
- 3.0V nominal, 3.6V HOC, 3.0V by chemistry so no circuit needed
I've had no probs using the 3V by chemistry cells in various 6V xenon lights.
BTW, anyone else notice the E2D's threads aren't as smooth as other SFs (like my Z2 and C2)? It feels similar to my good chinese lights. Not complaining, just an observation.
