Just want something that when switched on people will wooh. Budget is <$80. battery type does not matter (I heard 18650 is best??), duration does not matter, size does not matter.

DRY 3 XML Turbo, ~ $68, always impresses.

Uses three 18650's, a few thousand lumens, in a floody beam that lights up a large area at once, like football field sized.
 
Vote for the Skyray king as well, DRY budget with Tiny Monster good looks...
One can buy a DRY driver & put in there to kick it up to 3000 lumens

I didn't know about the Sky Ray until now....just dropped coin on one and 6 eagtac 3100 protected 18650
 
If you would more throw and a wow factor, then I would suggest Xtar S1.

don't wanna spend 260 on a tinymonster

needed eagtac spares anyway for my XT11, TN11 and zebralight 600's

screw it me sez, 6 eagtacs and 70 bucks more for a skyring beam thing to play with. why not ?

oh I already have TN11 and XT11 which are 700+ lumens

I wanted a 2000 lumen thing for a while, but didn't want to pay the
bucks like $200+...when I saw the Sky Ray King (as mentioned above) I said
well holy crap ! I need more eagtacs anyway, and for 70 bucks, I can get a monster
(who cares if it is 2 mode and slow PWM on low, or crappy quality) it will
be a fun campfire light.

the PROBLEM here is that... I log into CPF when I am sure I am done buying lights, and
end up justifying another not-quite-needed purchase. the PROBLEM is the internet does not
immediately shut down and turn off when I need it to. guess I'll be forever broke, but lit up, until I die :D
 
i have the same problem... i just bought a dry 3xml (i already have a tm11 too...)

tiny monster is for go
dry will be for show!

I feel your pain! It's exactly what I do! I'm sure I'm done for a lil, log on and BOOM!
 
I'd definitely suggest the Romisen RC-T602. I have one and it's the brightest I have so far at "1000" lumen. I just ordered the xt11 and expecting it this week. Will compare the two when I get the Klarus. I'm expecting the Romisen to blow away the Klarus in terms of power.
