Does anyone recently purchased a Gatlight? Few years ago, i wanted to buy this light but cant justify $500 for the light. Im aware of the machining involved to make the light. I held off on buying it to see if they will upgrade the led to a more efficient die. I went to their site just now and the light is still same from years back. Any news on this light? New emitter? New style?

LOL!! Whoever put that compilation together must have spent HOURS trawling through all the old Trekkie footage... :duh2:

FWIW the last posting from him was apparently 7/13/2009, his last login was as Dave notes, almost 4 months ago. I briefly owned a Gatlight SS once. I returned it to the seller who had remorse over letting it go. I wish now I hadn't. It was certainly a unique light. I'd likely buy one new if I could...

I do believe Gatlight is Moribund, Captain.

I bought one and sold it because it wasn't very bright. It was a neat light though. I sold it for the money!

I still have my Gatlight V3 which I bought from another member. I don't use it because it's like a piece of jewellery but it sure is quite fun to fiddle around with and I keep it as a piece of flashlight history with art and function.

There are cheap knockouts of the gatlight out there. "xg-v3" But i guess you dont want that..

I was looking for one - asked Karl Heinz about it and get a reply... Then go to sleep and find he is selling one but... Tiny crumb wants it now....

Dude mar - looks like you missed one too

I had 4 of these. Great looking lights on the shelf but as a user..... naa, not my cup of tea to be honest. They never really felt right in my hands when I handled them and the V2 switch didn´t really cut it (3 of mine were V2 - 2x SS and 1x aluminum). The V3´s switch was much better though.
