My wifes ex boss (left on good terms hehe) was doing some work with his Fenix P2D and lost it in the field somewhere. This was his absolute favourite light for work because of the size, output, and function (UI). What would you guys recommend as a replacement for this light?

Price really isnt important to him. He uses the light as a gasfitter (but in his portion of work it isnt important to meet any class or division standards for explosion proof etc). As well, he is a big fan of having the best (or at least the most unique) of everything, and prided himself on showing off his P2D to everyone he came across personally or professionally. Oh... and he really likes the holster that came with this one.

So any hints or suggestions on a replacement (like the PD20) or similar would be appreciated.

If they are used to the P2D form and function then get another one to replace.
I would suggest getting the Q5 Premium version.

The new PD20 is quite nice.

Nitecore's EX10 would also be good. I like the easy to set light level, so I can have the right amount of light for the job at hand.

does the newer version PD20 have the same 'in-hand' feel as the p2D? And the only reason i wasnt going to immediately jump at the nitecore was that it doesnt cme with a holster... but i think it could probably fit the Fenix holster ok. Id just have to look at the diameters of each. I know the lengths are only a few mm's apart.
