As the title says, I am planning to replace a Lux III emitter in a light with a K2 TFFC. Can anyone tell me what kind of adjustments I need to make so that the K2 has proper focus in the reflector? I hope the K2 needs to sit higher than the original since I can't really lower it into the heatsink.

I just replaced the same in a AAP 2C light. Mine was just a simple swap, however it was using an optic. Not sure if this helps.

What light is this being done to?
A Mr. Bulk VIP with the Bulkhead reflector.

I did a quick test of the swap without soldering or gluing anything down, just letting the surface tension of the thermal compound hold the emitter in place. The beam has some rings in it but there is a huge difference in brightness. I destroyed the Lux III trying to free it from the thermal epoxy, so now I have no choice but to leave the K2 TFFC in there. :)

Good that it worked out. LuxIII to K2 is a big step in brightness. Usually a Seoul is the next step.
