Just wondering if anybody knows of replacement bulbs which would work in place of the A3718 (for A2 aviator) and the A7212 (for M3)? Love the idea of running these more often but only have a very limited number of bulbs (not that they go out that quickly).

I use a Streamlight Strion bulb in my A2's bi-pin adapter. Works great and the beam looks similar to the LF replacements, with a bonus that the focus is slightly adjustable.

Streamlight Strion bulb is 3.7Volt, 1.7Amps.

Streamlight incand. TL-3 bulb is 7.5Volt, 1.2Amps.
Good info, thanks. This should mean the strion is underdriven in an A2, right? It's surprisingly white considering this.

Found my own post in a search and thought I would update with a correction. The tads bi-pin adapter is taller, not the same as the strion bi-pin adapter, and does not focus well with strion bulbs.
