Just wondering if anybody knows of replacement bulbs which would work in place of the A3718 (for A2 aviator) and the A7212 (for M3)? Love the idea of running these more often but only have a very limited number of bulbs (not that they go out that quickly).

I use a Streamlight Strion bulb in my A2’s bi-pin adapter. Works great and the beam looks similar to the LF replacements, with a bonus that the focus is slightly adjustable.

Streamlight incand. TL-3 bulb is 7.5Volt, 1.2Amps.

Good info, thanks. This should mean the strion is underdriven in an A2, right? It’s surprisingly white considering this.

No, it's slightly overdriving.
A2 incand is regulated to 4 volts. So 4 volts for 3.7 volt bulb means slightly overdriving with good output and bulb life.
