Re: SPY 007 Instruction Manual - a joint CPF effort

Interesting Spy Facts
Spy 007 #201 - Is the only Spy in the public domain with the serial number on the rail as opposed to either side of the lanyard hole. Currently owned by the CPFer with the fastest reactions in the civilsed world - PSM.

Re: SPY 007 Instruction Manual - a joint CPF effort

Let's add that the split rings included on the Lighthound faux photon lights are a perfect fit for the lanyard slot.

Chronos! Look at the dust on your 007:tsk:

You better not be using that wonderful looking flashlight:twak::whoopin:

:kiss::D

Good idea on the split ring by the way.

Re: SPY 007 Instruction Manual - a joint CPF effort

As an owner of both 005s and an 007, it would be very handy to see the differences, especially on the power up modes and gadgets. Maybe I'll get off my overworked, yet lazy butt and come up with it.

Re: SPY 007 Instruction Manual - a joint CPF effort

We're getting there. Still some obvious gaps which will need to be filled in.

Please look it over and let me know what I can do to add/subtract/improve the instructions.

Re: SPY 007 Instruction Manual - a joint CPF effort

Dumb question of the day:

How do you get the battery cap off when there are no batteries inside?

I know I've seen this answered somewhere but I can't find it. And no, I'm not sending it back to Dave for a lottery giveaway.

Troy,

Per Dave's post above:

This is not the Question and Answer thread! None of that here, OK? Please post your questions in Hodsta's "Spy Questions" thread.

Here's Hod's question thread... and good luck with that! :nana:

The answer is now in the manual! :p

Re: SPY 007 Instruction Manual - a joint CPF effort

Also, one more interesting fact about #0201. :D

The markings on the body below the battery cap arent 4 seperate semi-circles, but a solid circle. Thought I would share. :naughty:

Re: SPY 007 Instruction Manual - a joint CPF effort

More updates have been made.

Now who wants to take on runtime tests?? :candle:

Re: SPY 007 Instruction Manual - a joint CPF effort

Under Care & Cleaning...

I have been using on my Spy 007 with a Foaming Glass Cleaner that is safe for Tinted Windows with a Microfiber Cloth.

It really brightens up the Ti and won't scratch at all.

Also no lint.

FYI...

While the runtime graph is cool, (thank you Chevronfreak) the runtimes at the higher levels could be more detailed. I can't tell if level 6 is 150 minutes or 200 minutes, the scale is off trying to scrunch levels 5 and 6 into a little 500 minute box.
And what does the light intensity number mean. Is that lux?

Scottiver,
Good points. I think it'd be nice to have a runtime for levels 1-2-3, and another chart for 4-5-6. Not sure what light intensity means, although it looks like it'd be lux. I never had one of the LuxIII Spy's, so I can't say if the 2000 lux was accurate or not. But the runtime, as Dave said, is indeed very similar to our 007's.
John

Re: SPY 007 Instruction Manual - a joint CPF effort

Runtime at 1250mA would also be interesting - it seems to rip through primaries.

I'm more than happy to fund the battery usage but don't have the kit to produce runtime graphs!
