Hello CPF,

Sadly, we found out today that longtime member, Moderator and CPF contributor SilverFox (Tom) passed away in March 2022. Many knew Tom from his extensive testing of batteries, chargers and their associated technologies, and just being a nice guy and a force for good here on CPF for nearly two decades. In his offline life, he was a retired business owner, test engineer, and a traveler who spent considerable time working in Alaska. His wife Lisa wished that he be remembered as a joyful person who loved interesting conversation and loved his time here on CPF. She offered this photo of him in 2021 - healthy and smiling.

While the loss to his friends and family is infinitely greater, it is certain that he will be missed here as well. Charge up your Eneloops and shine your favorite light around in honor of our friend SilverFox. :au:

I was sad to read of this news, Tom was definitely a steady hand here at CPF and welcomed me when I was moderating. Sorry to see him go, and my condolences to his family. He'll be missed here.

Yes he was truly a gentleman. Always willing to help out when his level of knowledge was requested. I only had a few interactions with him, but his comments were always valuable. I'm sure that those who were really close to him, ie family and friends, will really miss him.

Oh man! Sad news indeed. His contributions here were most valuable. I remember his CR 123A Shootout in particular. Prayers sent for Family, Friends and CPF.

R.I.P. condolences to the family. Thank you for the many years of dedication and contribution to this community. The wealth of knowledge shared with us will be used for many years to come.
