River Rock K2 problem unscrewing top

I just bought a K2 from Target. When trying to unscrew the top head to make it a flashlight, the rubber peeled off and the top is frozen. I am afraid to put more pressure because I may crack the lantern. Anyone have this problem. Other than that it appears to be bright but is not dark yet. If anyone knows the thread that covers this lantern let me know. thanks.

RR wrote back to me. Apparantly they accidently glued the cap on.

I apologize for the problem you have encountered with your K2 LED lantern. Unfortunately, a few lantern tops in the initial production run were accidentally glued on. Looks like you have one of those lanterns. You can return the lantern to Target for a replacement or I can mail a new one to you.
