1) Decide chicken or beef?
2) Purchase above container of bouillion
3) Eat said bouillion
4) cut off both ends of a container of chicken/beef bouillion container.
5) unscrew top
6) slide diffuser over lantern
7) Enjoy non eye-searing lantern

*For the more advanced, feel free to make straight cuts

(Plus it acts as a button lockout for all you backpackers! ;) )

Nice diffuser setup. My old RR lantern from a few years ago is really bad about glare. Glad Press and Seal plastic wrap works well too.

Thanks for this great tip. I own one of those lantern's.

I don't usually buy bouillion, so I am not sure if you are talking about a generic container, or a specific brand. What country are you from? I will now be checking out the bouillion aisle in my local supermarket for some container size that approximates that shown in your pictures.
 
I too am wondering what brand bullion you are getting. I've used the press n seal trick in the past, but would like to try this as well if I can find the right container.
