I bought this light at my local Target this morning. I got home and turned it on....played with the focus....and decided immediately that I hated it. I put it back in it's package, and returned it. Focused out is like a big black hole with a light ring around it....:sick2:

The spot does look better, and is fairly bright. I guess this light is worth the $20.00 based only on it's spot beam....but....and I mean this is a BIG BUT....the flood really, really sucks.

Thanks for letting us know bondr, I'm still trying to decide if I should buy it. I would like to have an AA light to put some of my rechargeable AA's to use but I dont want to shell out the $$$$ for an L2D

Buy it anyway because you are probably going to eventually. Save yourself the money.

Buy the L2D, because you'll get tired of those $20 lights, and the build quality usually is sub-par.

For the price of 2 or 3 crappy $20 lights, you can have one nice one...

I may end up getting an L2D, I noticed on fenix-store.com, the L2d was down to $50. I remeber the E0 went on clearance just before the E01 was announced so maybe I'll wait a few weeks and see what happens.

Personally, I would buy the L2D long before giving the RiverRock any consideration. When I went to the Target to get that light, I had no plans on keeping it. I was just curious about how the focusing looked...and I got exactly what I expected:thumbsdow

I just picked up one of these and I think there might be two versions of this light.My pkg is not the same as the one posted,no where on it says anything about being able to focus.The light is black w a orange tail cap on-off,a green ring around the head for looks to dress it up I guess.Has more flood than throw,but its nice and white beam wise.Seems well made from what I can see.

Strange...

The one I saw had an orange tailcap and a light green ring near the tailcap. Not sure what the green ring is for though...
