Hi, sorry if this is a stupid question, I did have a look on the search function but couldnt find a relevant answer.

My new charger claims to charge 18650's at 900mA and it does seem to charge them pretty fast, I was just wondering if this was healthy for the cells or if it might be causing them any damage?

Thanks for your help,

RF

That should be fine... A lot of brand name Sanyo, and Panasonic cells have a recommend charge current of 1.5A.

is good rate, as long as it slows down at the end.
if it is doing 900ma when it is 4.2v is not so good rate :-)
