thanks to DM51 I now know I have been charging my 10440 at an unsafe rate.

600mah on the pila IBC, 450mah per channel on the Ultrafire 139.

SO I heard I should buy a "nano" single cell charger.

SO I bought one.

On the back of the charger it says DC output 4.2v - 0.45a

isnt that 450 mah? far exceeding the 320 mah capacity of the 10440?

thanks for your help.

DO you know where i can get a safe charger for my 10440?

I use it in my fenix keychain model. very bright.

450 mAh is the highest rate, for me to charge a 500mA RCR it takes a 2.5 hours.
It initially charges at 450, then tapers off as the cell charges.

There are 2 sizes of Nano charger. One is for RCR123 cells and charges at 450 mA. The other is for 10440 cells and charges at 200 mA.

You can tell which is which by the size of the bay and the output figure on the reverse of the unit. It sounds as if you have the wrong one.

Anyone know where I can get the correct charger DM51 mentions above?

thanks in advance!

The Nano 10440 chargers are no longer made, you can however use a ultrafire WF-138 or this one which work ok I'm using the later for my 10440's it's perfect for the job ;)

If you use the RCR nano charger, you can make it charge 10440's by using some red and black wire and some magnets.
Its what I do to charge my 17670's since I don't have a proper charger for it.
