I direct your attention to some interesting cells:

http://www.saftbatteries.com/Produit_LM_M_cell_ranges_302_57/Default.aspx

It looks like these might have some flashlight applications:

M 52 HR
"C" size
3V
4.5A
1.2A max discharge (Friwo rates them more liberally at 2.0A)

M 20 HR
"D" size
3V
10.5A
2.5A max discharge (Friwo rated 4.0A)

For example, could one run anything meant for 2xCR123 primaries off of two M 52 HR's instead? Or put four M 20 HR's in a Mag and run a 13v bulb?

Googling doesn't bring up any retail sale options, but they're making them for somebody. Hope this isn't totally hair-brained, I am pretty new to this. :D

Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe those are "primary" lithium cells. Which means that they are non-rechargeable.

Sorry, my bad. Give me a break, I've only been reading English for a quarter of a century. :ohgeez:

What threw me is the LiMn designation. Continue about your business, nothing to see here.

Don't feel too bad, Tirodani. These cells are "discovered" every once in a while. What you have to understand, is that if a cell exists on the planet, CPF'ers have probably already found it, and if it's worth using in our hobby, it'll be talked about, a lot. :)

That's not to say, however, that noob's and oldtimer's alike, don't sometimes find something new and interesting! Don't give up!
