And the grass has grown back that JimH used his magic on.
Not to worry. I'll do an encore performance

For those who didn't attend the last one, this is the "magic" that first melted a hole through a metal tray before it blackened the lawn.

I met quite a few interesting folks at the last one of these I attended. Talked with Wayne of the Shoppe who gave me advice on setting up for surface mount, and met Mike (Nanomiser) who helped me tremendously with mechanical modelling of the Sleds. Last time I had a working prototype that I hacked out on my Mini-Mill, this time I'll have a few of the production quality prototypes from the machinist. Being in Silicon Valley this meeting has quite a few major contributors to CPF.

By the way, thanks to SheDevil for hosting this!!!

If it arrives in the mail by Saturday I'll be displaying this mini tripod flashlight on SheDevil's table. Unlike the weak 5mm LED versions Stanley first sold, this one's supposed to have good output and build quality.

Count me IN!! Everyone in the bay area.... This is a GREAT way to sample some of the most popular and $$$ CPF lights before buying. Its also a great way to A/B compare lights and different builds... and you finally get to meet people in person.

Can I film the event, and put the footage up on youtube? Similar to the last get together, primary objective would be the lights. I understand not everyone wants to be published across youtube on film, so primary film-attention would be given to the lights.

Film from last time...

I should be able to catch up in the late afternoon / early evening since my wife and I already have an appointment in the early afternoon. Probably show up around 6 or 7 pm. My wife and 8 month old daughter should be accompanying me. :)

Will discuss with my wife what we can contribute as far as food / drinks.

As far as flashlights go, my latest acquisition is a Surefire T1A Titan that I will make sure I bring.
