Bought a couple of Sanyo NiMH 2700mAH a few months back, like what others had experienced in cpf, mine had a very high self-discharge rate. The batteries would self-discharge in within 7-8 days (just resting on a table). Voltage drop to 0.90-0.91V. I found this to be unacceptable and make a complaint to the seller, but was given the answer: "ooohhhh, all of these high capacity cells will self-discharge in a week, you should charge before use..." un-satisfied with the answer, i contacted Sanyo directly, and guess what, they ask to send these batteries back and exchange for new ones. The whole process took only 3 days. Now that's great customer experience!!!

I've yet to test the new cells, will post my result once it past the 10-days mark. So if you are having problematic Sanyo cells, contact them for a replacement...

Thats great, but did you have them send you Enloops :)

it will be great to hear about how the new ones , not left on some shelf to rot, by someone who says "they all do that" work out for you .
and say in 2-3 months or a year even too, you could bump up the thread, and tell us how they are doing.
i read stuff like that

(oops... sorry... forgotten about this until I read about a member's problem with the Sanyo 2700 batteries.)

I have 4 Sanyo 2700mAh replacement, 2 in use while another 2 serves as control. It's been almost 12 months and I'm happy to report that all 4 has given good performance. The 2 that serve as control has pretty low self-discharge. It retain it's charge for approx. 3 months (~50-60% juice left).
