Hi, anyone tried this charger? does it charge an odd number of batteries? I could not find a user manual on GE or SANYO's web site. But the reviews on amazon look good.

FWIW: it was on sale a week ago for 12.49 I think, then it jumped up 20.99 and now it's down to $15.49

Any input appreciated. Thanks

All about Sanyo chargers, the control details are on the bottom of the page:

You might want to peruse the forum for posts on the failure rate of 2500mAh cells though.

There's a long thread that is mostly on the failure rate of the Energizers, but the Sanyo's take a few hits as well.

If you can find it, the NC-MQR03N-WEX-SS only adds another hour to the charge time, but comes with the 2700mAh cells, which seem to be performing much better.

Hello Viore,

I believe I have that charger...

The two outer slots charge at 2 amps, but if you load all 4 slots the charge rate drops to 1 amp. I have been very pleased with mine.

Is this a smart charger knowing when to stop charging when the battery is full?

how rough is this charger on batteries? Would it substantially shorten the battery life?

I use that charger a lot, and have had no issues.

I've used it with all sorts of AA's: Nicad, Nimh, Eneloop, Hybrids.

The cells do get warm, though.
