I had always dismissed headlamps. Just propped my flashlight on whatever and got to work. Well, a couple days ago I used a friend's headlamp, and holy hell. How did I get by without a headlamp for so long? How did I get any work done having to hold my light so often?:ohgeez:
Which leads me here, begging for help. I could spend hours upon hours researching lights or I could ask you fine folks who are already familiar with current headlamps.lovecpf
Features I need/would like:
1.) AA powered, should be equally comfortable with alkies, rechargeables, and lithiums
2.) Regulated, but no instant darkness as soon as it falls out of regulation.
3.) Two brightness levels would be nice, 100+ lumens and then dim enough to navigate a room or read.
4.) Simple UI, able to be operated with gloves on preferably. Not interested in strobe functions or other whistles or bells.
5.) Waterproof. Submersible not necessary, but can't have any issues handling a heavy rain for hours.
6.) LED, of course.
I think that's about it. I don't know what's available and if that's a tall order or not, but please help!
