Local gander Mtn. Store had the 10 million candle power version at $69.99

I remembered COSTCO had them at under $30.00. Well went to COSTCO and picked up one for the $25.99 price.

It is gray in color, marked THOR on the light has AC/DC chargers. The box does not say THOR but says it is from Cyclops here in Texas.

I will actually carry this thing in my patrol car once I transfer to the bird and turtle division.

nice nice. When i first lit up the tree line at the back of our 5 acres i was more than happy /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Yeah. lit up the side of a building here in NYC about three (long blocks). I accedently shined it in someones window. They must have said "WTF!?" cause I could see them at the window looking to see where thge light came from. LOL! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif Something that I dont normally do. I was not thinking.

Yup, it's one heck of a fun light. I modded it to HID and then used it off a four story building to light up passerbys. They definitely saw the light. Then my friend lit up an officer and officer "lit" us up with his mag. I felt sorry for him (the officer) and had to grab the light away. I didn't want to "go to jail" for having a flashlight.

Brock,

Once you get it, you also have to do the HID mod with it, it's very bright (and stable-unlike the halogen that slowly dims). Runtime also increases significantly to 2 hours. So, you can turn it on and just leave it on. But, the over-drive board is also a great option /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif.

I like the over-drive board option, cheaper then HID but relatively regulated. I can't live without regulation anymore /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

HID headlight assemblies on ebay for 50-60 bucks. Although the board thing is easier and brighter. Brighter being the operative word! Just ridiculous to think that a 100 watt bulb needs to be overdriven.

Anyone know if Costco in Canada has the THOR? I look in Montreal but couldn't find one.

It seems like the COSTCO here in Brookfield, CT just ran out of Thors. I bought the last one in the store yesterday. Last week, they had about 100 of them stacked up on the end of the isle. Now, none anywhere in sight. Are they disappearing from other COSTCO stores too?

Saw an OD Green Thor in Fry's in Sunnyvale, CA yesterday. It was called a 'Humvee' light though and cost $35.

Well my wife went shopping and had to go to Sam's so I made her check. She just called me and said all she could find was some ugly huge yellow spotlight for about $30, and I said, "YES THAT'S IT, BUY IT". Like she didn't think I was nuts before. Since I am at works she said she would drop it here when she was done shopping. More later...

Well, I am curious to know if all the COSTCO stores have discontinued these. Both the Thor and the Vector are gone from the shelves. They had the Vector 1.5M CP spotlight for months. The Thors were only on the shelves for about 3 weeks. Now neither can be found there. Is this a local phenomenon, or affecting all locations?

I upgraded the strap on mine.

same length same swivels same color but it is twice as wide
and it has a shoulder pad.

the strap was laying under my work table I do not remember where I got it.

I have a new phillips 4100k d2s hid bulb and new phillips ballast on the way to me. (actually I have 2 sets on the way-I paid 220 including shipping)

I may make my dad a hid thor for christmas-he will probably give me a sweater.

maybe I will sell the extra bulb and ballast.
I am going to upgrade to a 9 amp battery.

I should get 2 hours runtime and 30% more light.(whiter too)

too bad I bought the hid stuff before newbie started his boosted thor signup.
